USC Secures NCAA Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championship
Big Ten wins first NCAA Men’s Indoor Track and Field title since 2007

Rosemont, ILL. – The USC Trojans won the NCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday. This is the first NCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field title by a Big Ten school since Wisconsin won in 2007.
USC earned 39 points to claim first place as a team. Nebraska, Oregon, Wisconsin, and Washington all placed within the top 20.
The Big Ten had two individual NCAA champions as well. Oregon’s Matthew Erickson, the Big Ten 800 meter champion, repeated his success on the NCAA stage and earned first with a time of 1:46.11. Nebraska’s Tyus Wilson, who was the Big Ten high jump champion, earned a mark of 2.28 meters to secure an NCAA title.
The Big Ten Track Athlete of the Year, Field Athlete of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, March 19.
