Illinois, Penn State and USC Earn Weekly Men’s Indoor Track and Field Honors
Fighting Illini’s de Greef, Nittany Lions’ Dwyer, and Trojans’ Stevenson garner weekly accolades
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan 12-29, 2025.
Track Athlete of the Week
JC Stevenson, USC
Junior – Sprints – Temecula, California – Major: Business
Won the men’s 60m dash with a time of 6.50 at the Red Raider Invite
His time is the NCAA leader and is tied for the USC school record
Stevenson’s time is also tied for the 11th-fastest performer of all time among collegiate runners

Jip de Greef, Illinois
Sophomore – Heptathlon –Amersfoort, Netherlands – Major: Kinesiology
Scored a 6,046 in the heptathlon to win the Fighting Illini Challenge and Combined Events
His score is Illinois’ second-best and the national leading mark for 2025 with a 6,070 after flat track conversion
de Greef the first heptathlete to break 6,000 points this season

Ajani Dwyer, Penn State
Freshman – Sprints – Sewell, N.J.– Major: Accounting
In his 200-meter debut, Dwyer secured a 20.65 to win the Penn 10 Elite meet
His time is the fifth-fastest mark in the NCAA this season
Dwyer now has top three marks at Penn State in both the 60 and 200m dash events
