Michigan, Minnesota and Penn State Collect Men’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

Swimmer of the Week  
Mariano Lazzerini, Penn State 
Sr. – Santiago, RM, Chile 

• Earned wins in two individual events and two relays in Penn State’s win over Army  
• Swam a 51.52 in the 100 breaststroke to touch first  
• Finished in a time of 1:53.94 in the 200 breaststroke to place first 
• Swam a 23.39 split to help earn a win in the 200 medley relay 
• Recorded a 43.39 split to help the 400 freestyle relay team to victory

Diver of the Week 
Drew Bennett, Minnesota 
Sr. - Madison, Wis. 

• Led the Gophers with two individual event wins, sweeping all diving events against No. 22 Wisconsin 
• Tallied a score of 371.40 to win 3-meter and scored a 350.25 to win 1-meter 
• Last Minnesota Diver of the Week: Drew Bennett (Oct. 22, 2025) 

   
Freshman of the Week  
Luka Mladenovic, Michigan  
Salzburg, Austria   

• Won all three individual events he competed in and a relay against Oakland and Pittsburgh 
• Won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 53.92, the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:57.93 and the 200-yard IM in a time of 1:47.75 
• Was on the winning 200 yard medley relay team that placed first with a time of 1:26.24
