USC Earns Men’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Swimmer of the Week  
Luke Maurer, USC 
Gr. – Wilmette, Ill. – Master’s: Entrepreneurship and Innovation  

• Earned two individual event victories and helped USC win the 400-yard freestyle relay in his final dual meet as a Trojan 

• Maurer won the 200-yard free in 1:34.00 and the 100-yard free in 43.02 and was third in the 50-yard free in 20.04 

• Maurer also swam the anchor leg on USC’s winning 400-yard freestyle relay 

• Last USC Swimmer of the Week: Krzysztof Chmielewski (Nov. 13, 2024) 

Freshman of the Week  
Junhao Chan, USC 
Republic of Singapore – Shanghai American School – Major: Exploratory  

• Claimed an individual event title and finished second in another to help USC defeat UNLV in its final dual of the regular season 

• Chan won the 100-yard breaststroke in 52.08 for an NCAA B cut time  

• Finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke in 1:54.38, also an NCAA B cut  

• Helped USC earn a sweep in the B 200-yard medley relay that finished second, with USC going 1-2-3 in the event 

• Chan is the first swimmer or diver from USC to be named Freshman of the Week
