Indiana Wins Fourth Consecutive Big Ten Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships

Hoosiers tally 1,579 points en route to 31st conference title

FINAL RESULTS

MINNEAPOLIS – For the fourth consecutive season, Indiana has won the Big Ten Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, which concluded on Saturday evening at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The Hoosiers won their 31st conference title and seventh in the past nine seasons with a final total of 1,579 points.  

Michigan finished second with 1,148 points, followed by Ohio State with 1,100, USC (878), Minnesota (794.5), Wisconsin (735), Northwestern (711), Purdue (597) and Penn State (512.5).  

Indiana won ten swimming events and one diving event en route to the team title. Owen McDonald was named Swimmer of the Championships after touching first in three individual events and being a member of two different winning relay teams.  

Purdue’s Jordan Rzepka was named Diver of the Championships after finishing first on platform diving with 464.05 points.  

The complete list of individual award recipients, all-conference honorees and Sportsmanship Award selections are listed below. The All-Freshman team is inclusive of the top two freshmen finishers in each event, including relays.
