Indiana Sweeps Weekly Men’s Swimming & Diving Awards

Swimmer of the Week 
Brendan Burns, Indiana
Sr. – Berwyn, Pa. – Conestoga – Major: Management 

• Helped Indiana to a 182-118 win over No. 17 Michigan, winning all three of his individual events and added a relay win 

• All three individual times fell under NCAA B standard, winning the 100 backstroke in 46.83, the 200 backstroke in 1:43.99 and the 200 butterfly in 1:44.37 

• Burns led off Indiana’s 200 medley relay victory in 21.87, the fastest backstroke split in the event

Diver of the Week
Carson Tyler, Indiana
Jr. - Moultrie, Ga. – Colquitt County – Major: Political Science 

• Swept men’s diving events, posting two NCAA Zone Qualifying scores  

• Set a personal best on 3-meter with a 466.35, the top score by an NCAA Division I diver this season 

• Won the 1-meter with a 383.85  

• Last Indiana Diver of the Week: Carson Tyler (Feb. 1, 2023) 

Freshman of the Week
Mikkel Lee, Indiana
Singapore – Major: Finance  

• Totaled three victories, one individual and two relays 

• Placed first in 100 freestyle with a 43.52 

• Anchored Indiana’s winning 400-yard freestyle relay, posting the second-best split in 43.43 

• Also anchored Indiana’s first place 200 medley relay with a 19.37 split 

• Finished second in the 50 free with a time of 19.84, just .11 seconds behind the winner
