Indiana Sweeps Men’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Swimmer of the Week  
Owen McDonald, Indiana 
Jr. – Alpharette, Ga. – Rivers Academy – Major: Fitness & Wellness 

• Swept individual events during Indiana’s 176-118 victory over No. 13 Michigan  

• Posted NCAA B cut times in all three individual races  

• Won 100 backstroke in 45.00, out-touching teammate Miroslav Knedla by 63 hundredths of a second 

• Won 200 back by 2.23 seconds with a pool record time of 1:39.91 

• Won 200 IM in 1:42.63, out-touching teammate Luke Barr to lead a 1-2 finish for the Hoosiers 

• Earns second-straight Swimmer of the Week honor and fourth of the season 

• Last Indiana Swimmer of the Week: Owen McDonald (Jan. 8, 2025) 

Diver of the Week 
Quinn Henninger, Indiana 
Sr. – Denver, Colo. – Regis Jesuit – Major: Finance 

• Swept diving events during Indiana’s 176-118 victory over No. 13 Michigan 

• Posted NCAA Zone Qualifying scores in both events 

• Won 1-meter with a score of 428.10, tallying 67.50 points or better in five of six dives  

• Won 3-meter with a score of 436.05, 54 points better than the second place finisher 

• Last Indiana Diver of the Week: Carson Tyler (Jan. 8, 2025) 

Freshman of the Week

• Helped Indiana defeat No. 13 Michigan, posting NCAA B cut times in both backstroke events 

• Part of Indiana’s winning 200 medley relay that earned an NCAA A cut and pool record time of 1:22.64 

• Finished second in the 100 back, 63 hundredths off the lead in 45.63 

• Finished second in the 200 back in 1:42.04 

• Finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:46.53
