Penn State, Purdue Claim Weekly Men’s Swimming & Diving Awards

Swimmer of the Week 
Victor Baganha, Penn State
Jr. – Belo Horizonte, Brazil – Major: Risk Management 

  • Helped the Nittany Lions win the 200 medley relay  

  • Won the 50 free with a 20.14 and the 100 fly in 47.91  

  • Finished the evening helping the 200 free relay team finish first  

  • Last Penn State Swimmer of the Week: Victor Baganha (Dec. 6, 2023)  

Diver/Freshman of the Week
Holden Higbie, Purdue
Fr. - Danville, Ind. – Danville HS – Major: Selling & Sales Management 

  • Finished second in the 1-meter dive with a season-best 376.20  

  • Won the 3-meter dive with a career-best 409.00, good enough for 14th in Purdue program history 

  • Both dives were NCAA Zone Qualifying scores, helping Purdue sweep the diving events vs. Missouri  

  • Last Purdue Diver of the Week: Max Miller (Oct. 25, 2023) 

  • Last Purdue Freshman of the Week: Pat Broderick (Nov. 8, 2023)
