Maryland, Rutgers, and Northwestern Score Weekly Men’s Soccer Honors

Terps’ Koehl and Mack join Scarlet Knights’ Collins and Wildcats’ Johnson with weekly accolades

Offensive Player of the Week 
Leon Koehl, Maryland
Jr. – M – Cologne, Germany – Bayer Leverkusen

  • Paired a goal and an assist in Maryland’s 2-0 victory over then-No. 13 Michigan
  • Converted a 56th minute penalty kick and assisted on a 72nd minute insurance goal
  • Collects his first Offensive Player of the Week award
  • Last Maryland Offensive Player of the Week: Max Rogers (Sept. 17, 2024)


Defensive Player of the Week  
Nick Collins, Rutgers
Jr. – D – Mount Olive, N.J. – Gill St. Bernard’s

  • Tallied the game-winning goal in the Scarlet Knights’ 4-2 win over Wisconsin
  • Earns his first Defensive Player of the Week award

Goalkeeper of the Week  
Laurin Mack, Maryland

  • Notched his fifth clean sheet of the season with a 2-0 win over the Wolverines
  • Collected three saves in the victory to keep the Terrapins unbeaten on the season
  • Garners second Goalkeeper of the Week award of the season

  • Anchored a defensive effort that recorded a pair of clean sheets last week
  • Held Michigan State and Evansville to a combined one shot on goal in the 1-0-1 week
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week award
