UCLA, Washington Garner Weekly Men’s Soccer Honors

Bruins’ Solans Ormo, Marticorena and Huskies’ Akulov, Bowton collect weekly accolades

Offensive Player of the Week 
Sergi Solans Ormo, UCLA
R-So. – F – Lleida, Spain

  • Paired three goals and an assist in UCLA’s 5-2 victory over Rutgers
  • Becomes the first Bruin to score at least three goals in a match since Milan Iloski in 2019
  • Collects his first Offensive Player of the Week award
  • Last UCLA Offensive Player of the Week: Jose Contell (Oct. 15, 2024)


Defensive Player of the Week  
Egor Akulov, Washington
Jr. – D – Redmond, Wash. – The Overlake School

  • Anchored Washington’s defensive effort in its 5-0 win over Ohio State
  • Victory marked the Huskies’ sixth shutout of the season and fifth in their last six matches
  • Earns his first Defensive Player of the Week award
  • Last Washington Defensive Player of the Week: Asher Hestad (Oct. 7, 2025)


Goalkeeper of the Week  
Jadon Bowton, Washington
Grad. – Spokane, Wash. – Ferris

  • Recorded a season-high six saves in the Huskies’ victory over Ohio State
  • Claimed his fourth clean sheet of the 2025 campaign
  • Garners third career Goalkeeper of the Week award
  • Last Washington Goalkeeper of the Week: Jaden Bowton (Nov. 5, 2024)

 

Freshman of the Week  
Ander Marticorena, UCLA
M – Pamplona, Spain

  • Notched a pair of assists in the Bruins’ 5-2 win over Rutgers
  • Assisted on the eventual game-winning goal in the 56th minute and added a second helper two minutes later
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week award
