The Big Ten Conference announced the 2021 Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament bracket Sunday, with Penn State earning the No. 1 seed after securing the Big Ten Championship. The Big Ten Tournament begins on Sunday, November 7, at campus sites.
With a 2-0 victory over Wisconsin in the regular-season finale, Penn State claimed its sixth Big Ten men’s soccer title and first since 2013. Senior midfielder Seth Kuhn scored both goals for the Nittany Lions to guide the team to the conference crown.
As the No. 1 seed, Penn State (6-2-0 Big Ten) will host No. 8 seed Michigan State (2-4-2) at 4 p.m. ET on Nov. 7 in quarterfinal action on Big Ten Network. Maryland earned the No. 2 seed (5-2-1 Big Ten) and will play host to No. 7 seed Northwestern (3-5-0), while No. 3 seed Indiana (5-3-0) will welcome No. 6 seed Rutgers (3-4-1) to Bloomington, and No. 4 seed Michigan (4-3-1) will host No. 5 seed Wisconsin (3-4-1). The Badgers earned the fifth seed based on their victory over Rutgers earlier this season.
The semifinals will take place on Wednesday, November 10, at the sites of the highest two remaining seeds, while the final is scheduled for Sunday, November 14, at the highest remaining seed.
Both semifinal games, as well as the championship match, will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network and the FOX Sports App. For more information on the Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament, click here.
