ROSEMONT, Ill. – A pair of former Big Ten student-athletes will look to make their marks on the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team this week, as the club begins play at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

DeJuan Jones and Aiden Morris, who played collegiately at Michigan State and Indiana, respectively, have been named to the squad that will begin Gold Cup play on Saturday against Jamaica. Both players bring two senior team appearances into the tournament.

Jones played at Michigan State from 2015-18, where he tallied 16 goals and 46 points in his 76 appearances. After earning a pair of All-Big Ten nods as a Spartan, Jones was drafted 11th overall by the New England Revolution, where he has spent the last five seasons.

Morris made his mark in his lone season with the Hoosiers, earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors to go with All-Big Ten, all-region, and All-America accolades. Morris tallied 12 points, including a team-high eight assists, as Indiana claimed both the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. Morris was a 2020 Homegrown Player selection for the Columbus Crew, where he has spent the last four campaigns.

Fresh off a 2-0 defeat of Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League, Jones, Morris and the national team will look to defend their 2021 Gold Cup crown as they face Jamaica (June 24), St. Kitts & Nevis (June 28), and Trinidad & Tobago (July 2) in the group stage.

All games in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup will be broadcast on FOX, FS1, and FS2 and streamed on FOX Sports app and FOXSports.com
