Indiana and Rutgers Collect Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards
ROSEMONT, lll. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Samuel Sarver, Indiana
Jr. – F – Chesterland, Ohio – Major: Sports Marketing
Scored both goals in Indiana’s 2-1 road victory over No. 19 Penn State on Oct. 7 and played the entire 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Kentucky on Oct. 3
Finished the week with 10 total shots, including five on goal
Receives his first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor

Defensive Player of the Week

Recorded a career-high 10 saves (most in the Big Ten this season) to lead Rutgers to a 2-1 win over Maryland Oct. 3 in College Park, Md.
Made five saves versus Northwestern to finish the week with an .833 save percentage
Collects his first career Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award
