TULSA, Okla. -- Ohio State fifth-year Robert Cash and senior JJ Tracy captured the doubles crown at the ITA All-American Championships, which concluded Oct. 8 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Ranked 19th by the ITA, Cash and Tracy defeated the top-ranked team of Eliot Spizzirri and Cleeve Harper of Texas, 6-3, 7-6, in a match decided by a 15-13 tie-breaker.

Cash and Tracy went 4-0 in the field of 64 to become the fifth Big Ten team to win doubles at the ITA All-American. It is the second title for Cash, who joined Matej Vocel to clinch the 2021 title in an all-Buckeye final. Ohio State also took home the doubles championship in 2011 and 2004 while Illinois claimed the top prize in 2002.

A total of 41 singles players and 11 doubles teams from eight Big Ten schools took part at the All-American, the first major ITA championship of the fall collegiate season. Michigan's Gavin Young and Michigan State's Ozan Baris advanced to the semifinals of the singles main draw. Indiana sophomore Sam Landau made a remarkable run in singles, winning eight-straight matches to advance out of the pre-qualifying and qualifying brackets to reach the main draw round of 32.
