Michigan State Recognized with Big Ten Weekly Tennis Award
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Michigan State freshman Danial Rakhmatullayev (pronounced: Daniel Rock-ma-too-liev) has been named Big Ten Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the period covering Oct. 25-27.

- Compiled a 3-1 singles record at the Louisville Classic, which featured 2024 NCAA participants Michigan State, Kentucky and Tennessee
- After opening the tournament with a loss, rebounded to triumph in three-straight matches, winning six-consecutive sets and claiming 36 of 49 games
- Defeated Louisville’s Russell Lokko (6-4, 6-0) and Evan Duggal (6-4, 6-2) on their home courts
- Closed tournament with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Matthew Nice of Bellarmine
- Becomes third different Spartan to be named Big Ten Player of the Week this season
