Men's Tennis Weekly Award Goes to Ohio State

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Ohio State senior JJ Tracy has been named Big Ten Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 16-19.

Sr. – Hilton Head, S.C. — Smith-Stearns Academy
  • Compiled a 6-2 overall record (4-0 singles, 2-2 doubles) as top-rank Ohio State defeated four-ranked teams in four days to claim the national title at the ITA Team Indoor Championship in New York, N.Y.
  • Won all four matches at No. 3 singles in straight sets, defeating three ranked opponents: No. 20 Pedro Vives (TCU), No. 45 Inaki Montes (Virginia) and No. 115 Matias Ponce De Leon (Alabama)
  • Teamed with Cannon Kingsley for wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles
  • Dropped just three games total in a pair of wins against No. 8 Harvard in the ITA Quarterfinals
  • Ranked third in the ITA singles rankings — leads Ohio State in singles (21) and doubles (18) wins
  • The All-Big Ten First Team selection captures his fourth-career Big Ten weekly award
