Ohio State Advances to NCAA Quarterfinals

COLUMBUS, Ohio — No. 1 overall seed Ohio State defeated No. 16 seed Mississippi State, 4-1, Saturday to move on to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships.
Winners of 17-straight matches, Ohio State (33-1) will face No. 8 Columbia on May 16 at 12 p.m. ET in Stillwater, Okla.
The Buckeyes captured the NCAA Super Regional title on their home court, improving to 38-0 all-time in NCAA Tournament home matches and finishing an undefeated campaign (16-0) at home.
Coach Ty Tucker's squad captured the doubles point and proceeded to win three of the next four singles matches to earn a trip to the finals site for the 18th consecutive season.
Jack Anthrop clinched championship point at No. 4 singles for his second win of the day. Robert Cash was also a double winner at No. 6 singles and No. 1 doubles.
