Michigan Earns Weekly Tennis Honor
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Michigan senior Jacob Bickersteth has been named the Big Ten Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played April 5-7.

Compiled a 4-0 overall record (2-0 singles, 2-0 doubles) as No. 36 Michigan dropped just one point in wins over No. 62 Indiana (6-1) and Purdue (4-0) in Ann Arbor, Mich.
With the weekend sweep, Michigan improved to 6-0 in conference play, occupying a three-way tie atop the Big Ten standings
Bickersteth recorded his 50th career dual match win with a 7-5, 6-1 decision over Indiana’s Facuno Yunis at No. 2 singles, clinching match point for the Wolverines
Joined Gavin Young in producing a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles against IU’s 61st-ranked entry
Worked expeditiously against Purdue, registering the first doubles and singles wins of the afternoon
Has partnered with Young to form the 24th-ranked doubles team in the country
The two-time Academic All-Big Ten earns his first Big Ten weekly award
