Penn State Honored with Men's Tennis Weekly Award
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Penn State senior Miko Eala has been named the Big Ten Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played March 22-24.

- Went a combined 3-0 on the week for Penn State, which opened conference play against No. 15 Illinois and No. 60 Northwestern in University Park
- Recorded a pair of straight-set wins at No. 1 singles, dropping just four games in each match
- Upset 31st-ranked Karlis Ozolins of Illinois 6-2, 6-2 on Friday before defeating Presley Thieneman of Northwestern, 6-3, 6-1 on Sunday
- Joined teammate Alexander Sterin to claim the doubles point against Northwestern with a 7-6 (7-5) tie-breaker win at No. 3 doubles
- The 2023 All-Big Ten Second Team selection earns his first career Big Ten Player award
- Becomes the first Nittany Lion to win the Big Ten POW award since Christian Lakoseljac on April 20, 2021
