STILLWATER, Okla. — Ohio State's season came to an end Saturday in a 4-2 loss to TCU at the NCAA Semifinals held at the Greenwood Family Tennis Center.
OSU (34-2) won the doubles point on a tiebreaker and earned its lone singles point at the No. 4 slot behind Jack Athrop's three-set win. The match marked the last team event for OSU seniors Justin Boulais, Robert Cash, Cannon Kingsley, Andrew Lutschaunig and JJ Tracy.
The No. 1-ranked Buckeyes entered today's action with an 18-match win streak, having gone 4-0 in NCAA play. OSU defeated TCU in February to capture the ITA National Team Indoor title. Fourth-ranked TCU (27-4) will take on Texas in Sunday's NCAA Final.
The tennis season will continue for 12 Big Ten players participating in NCAA singles and doubles competition starting Monday in Stillwater.
