Ohio State to Play for National Championship on Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Ohio State men's tennis team recorded one of its biggest wins in program history, dispatching second-ranked TCU, 4-0, Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Campus to earn a spot in the NCAA Finals.
Third-ranked Ohio State (34-2) will meet fifth-ranked Virginia (29-4) with a national championship on the line at 12 p.m. ET Sunday. The match will be streamed live on NCAA.com. The Buckeyes defeated the Cavaliers twice in a span of eight days in February. Virginia is the defending national champion.
Coach Ty Tucker's squad won its 19th-straight match in impressive fashion, claiming the doubles point and winning all three singles matches in straight sets. For the second day in a row, freshman Alexander Bernard claimed match point with a win at No. 5 singles.
Sunday's match will be Ohio State's third finals appearance as the Buckeyes previously played for the title in 2009 and 2018.
