Big Ten Earns Runner-up Finishes in NCAA Singles and Doubles
Michigan State and Michigan fall in first-ever finals appearances

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Michigan State and Michigan posted runner-up finishes at the 2024 NCAA Men’s Tennis Individual Championships, which concluded Sunday at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
Michigan State’s Ozan Baris lost to Columbia’s Michael Zheng, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 in the NCAA Singles Final. Baris was the first Spartan to ever play in the finals.
Gavin Young and Benjamin Kittay of Michigan were defeated by Pedro Vives and Lui Maxted of TCU, 6-3, 7-6, 1-0 in the NCAA Doubles Final. Young and Kittay were the first Wolverine pair to make an appearance in the doubles final.
