Ohio State and Michigan Move on to NCAA Super Regionals

NCAA MEN'S TENNIS CENTRAL

Michigan and Ohio State earned second round victories at the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship on Sunday. Both schools will host NCAA Super Regionals next week.

ANN ABOR, Mich. -- Seventh-ranked Michigan recorded a 4-0 win over 29th-ranked California at the Varsity Tennis Complex.

The Wolverines improved to 21-0 this season when taking the doubles point and recorded their 26th win of the season, matching the second-highest total in program history.

Ondrej Styler and Jacob Bickerseth combined to win at No. 1 doubles and won their respective singles matches as well.

Michigan (26-4) will face 10th-ranked USC, a team it beat earlier this season, Friday in Ann Arbor.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State extended its win streak to 16 matches with a 4-0 triumph of 37th-ranked Louisville in a match played indoors at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. With the win, Ohio State advances to the Round of 16 for the 17th-straight year.

James Trotter (No. 4 singles/No.2 doubles) and Cannon Kingsley (No. 3 doubles) not only recorded wins but also earned their diplomas on commencement day.

The Buckeyes (31-2) will host 15th-ranked Arizona Saturday in Columbus.
