• Set a personal, meet, and facility record with his 60-meter dash time of 6.54 at the Hoosier Open
• Leads the nation in the 60-meter dash this season after winning the event at the 2021 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships
• Claims his fourth career Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
LaSarah Hargrove, Iowa
So. – Tampa, Fla. – Gaither
• Ran the third-fastest 60-meter time in Iowa history (7.40) at the Jimmy Grant Invitational, setting a new personal record
• That time currently ranks No. 5 in the NCAA and first in the Big Ten
• Garners her first Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award
• Last Iowa Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Mallory King (Jan. 27, 2021)
 
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Alex Talley, Nebraska
Sr. – West Fargo, N.D. – West Fargo
• Claimed victories in the shot put (65’ 7”, 19.99m) and weight throw (73’ 3.5”, 22.34m) at the K-State Winter Invitational
• Leads the nation in the shot put and ranks second in the weight throw, with the weight throw mark establishing a new school record
• Earns his first career Big Ten Indoor Field Athlete of the Week accolade

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Axelina Johansson, Nebraska

• Won the shot put at the K-State Winter Invitational in her first collegiate competition with a mark of 56’ 6.5” (17.23m)
• Currently leads the nation in the shot put with the fourth-best mark in school history
• Earns her first career Big Ten Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award
