ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Women’s Cross Country weekly awards winner for competitions that occurred between Oct. 14-21.   

Athlete & Freshman of the Week 
Katy Zang, Indiana 
Freshman – Orient, Ohio– Teays Valley, Ohio 

• Finished sixth overall in the Under Armour Pre-National meet with a time of 19:20.7 

• Was the top Big Ten finisher 

• Earned a top 10 finish for the fourth consecutive meet this season 

• For the third time this season, Zang has swept both awards in the same week. Last: Oct. 7, 2026
