ANN ARBOR, Mich.
– With an overall score of 198.450, UCLA claimed its first-ever Big Ten Women’s Gymnastics Championships title on Saturday night inside Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich. The squad’s 198.450 is the highest team score ever recorded at the Big Ten Championships. The Bruins also secured the 2025 regular-season crown in their inaugural year.

Michigan State placed second at this year’s competition with a 198.150, the third-best team score in championship history, while Minnesota earned a spot on the podium behind 197.425 points. Michigan finished fourth with a team score of 197.325, followed by Iowa in fifth (196.775). Olivia Zsarmani from Michigan State recorded a 9.975 on vault to secure the crown. Nebraska’s Emma Spence earned her own 9.975 on uneven bars to claim the individual title.

UCLA’s Ciena Alipio and Michigan State’s Gabrielle Stephen were co-champions on balance beam with a pair of perfect 10s. It was just the third and fourth perfect scores on the apparatus in the history of the Big Ten Championships and the first by a Bruin or Spartan.

Bruin duo Brooklyn Moors and Jordan Chiles tied for first place on floor exercise after scoring a set of 10s. Their perfect scores were the first on apparatus since 2014 and they are the first teammates to have 10s on floor in the same championship.

This year’s championship featured four perfect 10s, the most in the history of the event. UCLA was the first team to have three different gymnasts record a perfect score in the same championship meet.

A total of 21 gymnasts earned a place on the Big Ten All-Championships Team by virtue of their performances at the two-day meet.
