2023 NCAA WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS – BRACKET

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference will send representatives from all 10 of its women’s gymnastics programs to the regional round of the 2023 NCAA Championships, with those regionals taking place March 29-April 2 at four campus sites around the country.

Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State and Penn State earned spots in the team competition, while gymnasts from Penn State and Rutgers will participate in individual events at the regional meets.

Three Big Ten schools earned national seeds for this year’s Championships, with Big Ten Champion Michigan at No. 3, Michigan State at No. 10 and Ohio State at No. 16.

Michigan, Minnesota and Nebraska all will compete in the Denver Regional, while Illinois, Iowa and Ohio State will participate in the Norman Regional. Maryland, Michigan State and Penn State were chosen for the Pittsburgh Regional.

Regionals will begin March 29-30 with a “play-in” to determine the final team in the eight-team regional competition. On March 30-31, two four-team sessions will be contested at each regional site, with the top two teams from each session advancing to the regional finals on April 1-2.

ESPN+ will stream live coverage from all four NCAA regional sites, with coverage of every gymnast and apparatus on both March 29-April 1.

The top two teams from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships. In addition, the top all-around competitor and top event specialist from round two at each regional (who is not on a team advancing to nationals) will advance to the national championships. Event specialist qualifiers will only compete in the events they qualified.

This year’s NCAA Championships will be televised live on ESPN2 (April 13 semifinal sessions – 1 and 6 p.m. ET) and ABC (April 15 finals – 1 p.m. ET), the latter marking the third consecutive year the meet will air on ABC.
