Oregon Captures Big Ten Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships presented by Allstate
Ducks earn back-to-back Indoor Championships

Indianapolis, IND. – The Oregon Ducks won the Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships presented by Allstate on Saturday. This is head coach Jerry Schumacher's second indoor championship with the Ducks.
Illinois was this year’s runner-up with 93 points, while USC finished third with 81 points. Nebraska (63.5 points) and Washington (54 points) rounded out the top five.
The Ducks took home four individual Big Ten titles, as Silan Ayyildiz won the 5,000m with a time of 15:37.90 and the mile with a time of 4:37.88. Juliet Cherubet recorded a meet record in the 3,000m (8:53.81) and Aaliyah McCormick set a meet record in the 60m hurdles (7.89).
The Big Ten Track Athlete of the Championships, Field Athlete of the Championships, Coach of the Year and Sportsmanship Award honorees will be announced on Wednesday (March 4). The Big Ten Track Athlete of the Year, Field Athlete of the Year and Freshman of the Year will be announced following the NCAA Indoor Championships.
