Minnesota and UCLA Earn Women’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Swimmer of the Week  
Rosie Murphy, UCLA 
Sr. – Sacramento, Calif.  

• Set a school record in the 200 backstroke in UCLA’s dual meet at No. 18 Arizona State 
• Touched the wall in a new record time of 1:52.39, a time also ranked 10^th-fastest nationally 
• Recorded four event wins, winning both the 200 back and the 200 IM on Friday and Saturday. Also helped multiple relay squads to top two finishes in their respective races  
• Last UCLA Swimmer of the Week: Ana Jih-Schiff (Oct. 9, 2024) 

Diver of the Week 
Elna Widerstrom, Minnesota 
Jr. - Lund, Sweden 

• Finished first on 1-meter with a score of 332.93 against No. 15 Wisconsin 
• Scored a 359.33 for second place on 3-meter 
• Earns second consecutive Diver of the Week honor 
• Last Minnesota Diver of the Week: Elna Widerstrom (Nov. 5, 2025) 

 
Freshman of the Week  
Jada Duncan, UCLA 
Rocklin, Calif.  

• Earned five event wins in UCLA’s dual meets at No. 18 Arizona State and Arizona over the weekend  
• Won the 50 free and the 100 fly in the meet at Arizona State and won the 100 free and 100 fly on Saturday in the dual at Arizona. Her 50 free win in a time of 22.02 is the 15^th fastest time in the country to date  
• Helped the Bruins win the 400 medley relay at Arizona State
