Rutgers Sweeps Women’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Swimmer and Freshman of the Week  
Emilianna Gonzalez, Rutgers 
Fr. – New York, N.Y. 

• Won the 50-yard freestyle race as Rutgers competed at No. 25 Princeton 
• Swam a 22.90 to win the event, just off her previous mark of 22.83 this year, which had been the sixth fastest time in school history 
• Helped two relays to podium finishes, swimming the leadoff leg in the 200 free relay, helping Rutgers place second. Swam the anchor leg of the 200-medley relay with the Scarlet Knights touching third

• Last Rutgers Freshman of the Week: Bailee Sturgill (Nov. 20, 2024)

• Scored a personal best 337.73 on 3-meter to win the event at No. 25 Princeton 
• Her score is eighth all-time in Rutgers’ program history
