Michigan and Ohio State Earn Women’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Swimmer of the Week  
Bella Sims, Michigan 
Jr. – Henderson, Nev. 

• Won three individual events against Ohio State, earning three NCAA qualifying times  
• Touched first in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:53.53. Placed first in 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:42.65 and 200-yard IM in 1:55.98 
• Led off the winning 200-yard medley relay team that posted an NCAA qualifying time of 1:34.56 
• Last Michigan Swimmer of the Week: Hannah Bellard (Jan. 14, 2026) 

Diver of the Week 
Lena Hentschel, Ohio State 
Sr. - Berlin, Germany 

• Won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events against Michigan  
• Scored a 325.88 on 1-meter and a 368.78 on 3-meter, both scores are NCAA Zone Qualifying scores 
• Last Ohio State Diver of the Week: Lena Hentschel (Nov. 13, 2024) 

Freshman of the Week 
Carrie Furbee, Ohio State 
Grandview Heights, Ohio 

• Placed second in the 50 free with a time of 22.33 and second in the 100 fly with a time of 52.63 
• Was on the second-place 200 medley relay team that turned in an automatic NCAA qualifying time of 1:35.96. She was also on the second-place 400 free relay team that finished in 3:12.84, also an automatic NCAA qualifying time
