Iowa and Purdue Earn Women’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Swimmer of the Week  
Annie Galvin, Iowa 
Sr. – Ames, Iowa – Ames – Major: Management 

• Collected two individual event wins, winning the 100 back in 54.30, a time which ranks eighth in Iowa program history 

• Won the 200 back in 1:58.66 

• Both wins contributed to Iowa’s win against Iowa State as part of the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series 

• Last Iowa Swimmer of the Week: Scarlet Martin (Jan. 17, 2024) 

Diver of the Week 
Daryn Wright, Purdue 
Jr. - Plainfield, Ind. – Plainfield – Major: Retail Management 

• Won on 10-meter at the USA Diving Winter National Championships, winning her second career gold at the event and medaling on 10-meter for the fourth year in a row, posting a 333.55 in the final and a 322.10 in prelims 

• Wright was victorious by 80 points, while improving on her prelim score by 11 points in the final 

• Wright posted the top-scoring dive among the field in six of the 10 rounds, with both of her totals being an NCAA Zone qualifying score
