Iowa Sweeps Weekly Women’s Swimming & Diving Awards

Swimmer of the Week
Scarlet Martin, Iowa
So. – Coralville, Iowa –  Iowa City West – Major: Undecided 

·  Won the 100 fly and 200 fly in the Hawkeyes’ win in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series Dual against Iowa State

·  Swam a pool record 53.79 in the 100 fly and a 1:59.76 in the 200 fly

·  Swam with both relay teams that registered wins on the day. The 400 free relay team posted a pool record 3:22.56 and the 200 medley relay team finished first in 1:41.11

·  Last Iowa Swimmer of the Week: Scarlet Martin (Dec, 14 2022)

Makayla Hughbanks

·  Won the 1-meter and 3-meter dives 

·  Posted a season-best in both events with a 311.85 (1-meter) and 329.40 (3-meter)

·  Posted Iowa’s sixth-best 100 breaststroke time in program history with a 1:01.53

·  Won the 200 breast with a 2:15.05 and set a pool record in the 200 IM with a 2:01.17

·  Earns second straight Freshman of the Week Honor and third of the year
