Offensive Player of the Week/Freshman of the Week 
Layla Sirdah, Indiana  
Fr. – F – Duluth, Ga. - Major: Interior Design  

• Combined for five goals in two games with two assists in Indiana’s 2-0 week vs. Evansville (5-0) and Lawrence University (9-0) 

• Scored four goals vs. Lawrence on Sunday. Second player to score four goals in a match in program history and tied the program-record for points in a single match (8) 

• Against Lawrence, Sirdah helped the Hoosiers tie the most goals (9) and points (25) in a single match since 1998 vs. IUPUI 

• Netted the game-winner against Evansville in the fifth minute and had two assists in the 5-0 win  

• Ranks second in most points (17) and goals (6) in the Big Ten

• Anchored Northwestern’s back line to consecutive shutouts in wins over Illinois State (4-0) and No. 21 Virginia Tech (1-0) 

• Assisted on the game-winning goal over Virginia Tech 

• Helped limit the Hokies to season-lows in shots (7) and shots on goal (3) 

• Played all 90 minutes in both matches last week  

• Assisting a Wildcat defense that is allowing just 1.57 shots on goal/game and 0.71 goals/game this season
