Penn State, Indiana, Iowa Earn Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week
Kaitlyn MacBean, Penn State 
RS-Sr. – F – Excelsior, Minn. - Major: Biobehavioral Health 

• Scored all five goals for Penn State last week in a 3-1 win over West Virginia, followed by a 2-1 road win against No. 19 Saint Louis 

• Recorded her third and fourth multi-goal matches in her career 

• With her pair of goals at Saint Louis, MacBean took sole ownership of the No. 3 spot in the Penn State record book for consecutive matches with a goal, finding the back of the net in each of her last eight appearances, dating back to last year’s NCAA Tournament run 

• Earns the first Offensive Player of the Week honor of her career 

• Last Penn State Offensive Player of the Week: Penelope Hocking (Sept. 27, 2022) 

Defensive Player of the Week
Avery Snead, Indiana 
Gr. – D – Wrentham, Mass. – Major: Business Management 

• Played 149 minutes with one goal, one assist, three points and 1.00 shots on goal percentage in Indiana’s 1-0-1 week 

• Scored her second goal of the season unassisted to put the Hoosiers up 3-0 in an eventual 6-0 win over Wright State. It was Indiana’s second shutout win of the season 

• Assisted on the equalizer in the 54^th minute in a 1-1 draw at Brown  

• Last Indiana Defensive Player of the Week: Piper Coffield (Oct. 17, 2023) 

Goalkeeper of the Week
Macy Enneking, Iowa  
Gr.  – GK – Hillard, Ohio – Master’s: Sport and Recreation Management 

• Enneking earns her second-straight Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week honor after she didn’t allow a goal against FGCU or No. 18 Wake Forest in a 2-0 week for the RV Hawkeyes  

• Made three saves against the Demon Deacons and Iowa did not allow a shot on goal vs. FGCU  

• Enneking has not allowed a goal in any second half this season and has shut out three straight opponents 

• Earns her fourth career weekly honor

Freshman of the Week
Berit Parten, Iowa 
F – St. Paul, Minn. – Major: Pre-Physical Therapy 

• Began the week with a goal against FGCU. Parten tallied five shots with two shots on goal against the Eagles  

• Tallied two goals against No. 18 Wake Forest, the only two goals scored in the game 

• Parten leads the Hawkeyes in points, shots, shots on goal and goals
