Ohio State, Penn State and UCLA Claim Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week 
Amanda Schlueter, Ohio State  
So. – F – Union, Ky. 

• Led the Buckeyes to a pair of wins last week, including a 3-0 shutout win on the road at Indiana in the Big Ten opener  

• Scored two goals and had an assist on the week, bringing her season totals to five goals and four assists  

• In the win at Indiana, Schlueter scored a goal on her lone shot of the night and assisted on the game-winning goal 

• Scored a goal in 81 minutes of action vs. Brown  

• Last Ohio State Offensive Player of the Week: Kayla Fischer (Oct. 18, 2022) 

 Defensive Player of the Week
Mieke Schiemann, Penn State  
Sr. – D – Berlin, Germany – Major: Psychology 

• Helped the Penn State defense earn a 6-0 shutout of Michigan in the Big Ten opener and followed up with a 2-1 win vs. Columbia  

• Scored two goals, including the game winner against Columbia 

• The 6-0 win over Michigan was the largest win over the Wolverines in Penn State program history, matching the team’s highest conference scoring total since the spring of 2021

Goalkeeper of the Week
Molly Pritchard, Ohio State  
Jr.  – GK – Atlanta, Ga. – Major: Sport Industry 

• Recorded a pair of shutouts to lead the Buckeyes to a 2-0 week  

• Made three saves in helping Ohio State to a 3-0 win at Indiana in the Big Ten opener. The Hoosiers entered the match second in the country in goals per game (4.0) 

• Made six saves in a 2-0 win over Brown on Sunday 

• Now has three shutouts on the year and has combined on two others  

• Last Ohio State Goalkeeper of the Week: Molly Pritchard (Aug. 20, 2024) 

Freshman of the Week 
Jordan Geis, UCLA 
F – San Jose, Calif. - Major: Undeclared 

• Drew the game-tying penalty kick in the 80^th minute and scored the game-winning goal in the 83^rd minute to help UCLA defeat Oregon on the road in the Big Ten opener 

• Geis’s goal was the first of her collegiate career 

• Has played in all nine games this season, making eight starts and leads the team in shots with 18
