USC Sweeps Women’s Tennis Weekly Honors

Player of the Week 
Jana Hossam, USC 
So. – Alexandria, Egypt 

• Helped USC remain perfect in Big Ten play (4-0) with wins over No. 2 Ohio State and Penn State 
• Against the Buckeyes, No. 38-ranked Hossam beat No. 4-ranked Teah Chavez in straight sets (6-4, 6-4), handing Chavez her first loss since January and giving USC its third point of the day 
• Against Penn State, Hossam defeated Maelie Monfils in straight sets (6-2, 6-4) on court one, again putting USC in a position to clinch the match

Eugenia Zozaya, USC

• Helped the Trojans to wins over No. 2 Ohio State and Penn State 
• Against the Nittany Lions, Zozaya defeated Maiko Uchijima, 6-0, 6-1 on court two  
• Against Ohio State, Zozaya beat Sophia Cisse-Ignatiev, 6-4, 6-2 on court three 
• Led No. 59-ranked Luciana Perry/Flora Johnson of Ohio State, 5-3, in doubles when USC clinched the doubles point 
• Owns an eight-match singles win streak
