Michigan and UCLA Earn Women’s Tennis Weekly Awards

Player of the Week 
Emily Sartz-Lunde, Michigan 
So. – Oslo, Norway 

• Went 2-0 in singles last weekend, clinching both wins as the final match left on the court in a pair of top 10 wins for the Wolverines against No. 10 UCLA and No. 8 USC 
• Against UCLA, defeated Ahmani Guichard, 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-3, after being down 3-0 in the second set before winning six straight games to force a third  
• Recorded a 4-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3) win over Krisha Mehendran of USC to clinch the match  
• Paired with Piper Charney in doubles to go 1-1 with a 6-1 win over USC’s Eugenia Zozaya and Jana Hossam 
• Last Michigan Player of the Week: Gabriella Lindgren (Oct. 29, 2025) 

Freshman of the Week 
Mayu Crossley, UCLA 
Tokyo, Japan 

• Won all four of her matches played as the Bruins split against Michigan and Michigan State  
• Beat 20^th-ranked Lily Jones of Michigan, 6-4, 6-1 
• Earned a 6-2, 6-4 decision over Michigan State’s Amara Brahmbhatt 
• On the doubles court, first-time partners Crossley and Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer beat Reese Miller/Laura Rahnel of Michigan (6-4) and Oriana Parkins-Godwin/Issey Purser of Michigan State (6-2)
