Washington and USC Claim Women’s Tennis Weekly Awards

Player of the Week 
Reece Carter, Washington 
Sr. – Victoria, Canada  

• Went 4-0 in wins against No. 60 Northwestern and No. 52 Illinois as the Huskies improved to 15-1 overall and 6-1 in conference action  
• Singles wins clinched the match in both wins and her doubles win clinched the doubles point against Northwestern 
• Two singles wins came on court two, defeating Northwestern’s Neena Feldman, 6-4, 6-2 and Illinois’ Kimiko Cooper, 6-1, 6-0  
• Alongside doubles partner Jermine Sherif, earned a pair of wins, defeating Northwestern’s Loureiro/Raath, 6-3 and Illinois's Cooper/Madatali, 6-0. The doubles duo improved to 9-1 at the No. 3 spot  
• Last Washington Player of the Week: Erika Matsuda (March 11, 2026)  

Freshman of the Week 
Eugenia Zozaya, USC 
Oviedo, Spain   

• Delivered the clinch in USC’s 4-2 win over No. 17 UCLA on Friday 
• Beat Kate Fakih, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 on court three to improve to 5-1 at the No. 3 position and earn her 15^th singles win of the spring season  
• Collects second Freshman of the Week honor
