Washington and USC Collect Final Women’s Tennis Weekly Awards

Player of the Week 
Reece Carter, Washington

• Had three wins over the weekend at No. 56 Penn State and No. 5 Ohio State 
• Recorded the highest ranked singles win of her career in a 6-4, 6-4 win over No. 4 Luciana Perry from Ohio State  
• Earned a 7-6(6), 0-6, 6-1 win against Penn State’s Patricia Grigoras 
• Alongside doubles partner Jermine Sherif, earned a win over Penn State’s Baldi/Ciubotaru, 6-3

Freshman of the Week 
Eugenia Zozaya, USC 
Oviedo, Spain  

• Against Indiana, Zozaya helped USC win its first-ever Big Ten Championship, winning both her singles and doubles matches 
• In singles, Zozaya was the first to finish, winning her match 6-3, 6-2 over Indiana’s Ameia Sorey on court two  
• In doubles, Zozaya and partner Dani Borruel downed Indiana’s Teodosescu/Boyer, 7-5, to win the doubles point  
• Earns her third Freshman of the Week honor of the season
