Michigan and Ohio State to Meet in Big Ten Women’s Tennis Tournament Championship
Wolverines and Buckeyes match up in tournament final for sixth-straight season
COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 5 ranked and top-seeded Ohio State will face No. 18 and third-seed Michigan in the Big Ten Women’s Tennis Tournament Championship match on Sunday at the Auer Tennis Complex in Columbus, Ohio. It’s the sixth consecutive season that the Buckeyes and Wolverines have met in the tournament final.
Ohio State beat No. 19 UCLA, 4-2, on Saturday in the semifinals to advance to the program’s 10th tournament final. The Buckeye’s beat Illinois, 4-0, in the tournament quarterfinals on Friday. Ohio State looks to defend its Big Ten Tournament title after winning the program’s fourth in 2025 in Ojai, California.
Michigan won four singles matches in straight sets against Maryland on Saturday to advance to Sunday’s final for the 21st straight season, dating back to 2004-05. The Wolverines beat Wisconsin, 4-1, in Friday’s quarterfinal match. Michigan has won five of the last seven tournaments contested and seven overall.
