Four Big Ten Women’s Tennis Teams Among ITA Top 25
UCLA, Michigan, Ohio State and USC featured in Jan. 6 team rankings

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The ITA has released its first set of team rankings for the 2025 women’s tennis season, and four Big Ten programs are featured among the top 25. UCLA currently ranks fifth, followed by Michigan at No. 8, Ohio State at No. 15 and USC at No. 17.
In addition to the team rankings, singles and doubles rankings were released on Dec. 3, 2024, ahead of spring competition. The Big Ten has 10 players among the singles top 50, with Wisconsin’s Maria Sholokhova (No. 3), Michigan’s Julia Fliegner (No. 5) and Ohio State’s Luciana Perry (No. 8) among the top 10.
In doubles play, 13 pairs from the Big Ten are featured in the rankings, highlighted by four pairs in the top 10. UCLA’s freshmen duo of Olivia Center and Kate Fakih, who earned a runner-up finish in the NCAA Doubles Final in the fall, are ranked No. 4 nationally heading into the spring season.
The second half of the 2024-25 campaign is already underway, and Big Ten play is set to begin on March 8.
