UCLA Sweeps Women’s Tennis Weekly Awards

Player of the Week 
Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer, UCLA 
Jr. – Irvine, Calif. – Tustin Connect High School – Major: Environmental Science  

• Posted a 4-0 record across singles and doubles matches as UCLA swept Minnesota and topped No. 19 Wisconsin last week. The Bruins snapped Wisconsin’s 13-match win streak 
• Defeated nation’s No. 5 singles player, Maria Sholokhova of Wisconsin, 7-5, 7-5, on court one to pull UCLA level at 3-3. It was the highest-ranked win of Lutkemeyer’s career 
• Added a 6-0, 6-1 win vs. Minnesota’s Aiva Schmitz  
• With Ahmani Guichard, beat Taylor Cataldi/Tianna Rangan of Wisconsin 6-4 on court three to clinch doubles point  
• Lutkemeyer/Guichard also registered a 6-3 victory against Schmitz/Arina Valitova of Minnesota 
• Last UCLA Player of the Week: Elise Wagle (Feb. 5, 2025) 

Freshman of the Week 
Kate Fakih, UCLA 
Pasadena, Calif. – Connections Academy   

• Logged 2-0 singles record and 2-0 doubles mark, clinching both wins during Big Ten homestand with Minnesota and No. 19 Wisconsin 
• Outlasted Wisconsin’s Tianna Rangan 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in deciding contest on court four  
• Her 6-0, 6-3, performance vs. Minnesota’s Sofia Pinto on court three the next day counted for UCLA’s fourth point to complete the sweep 
• Alongside partner Olivia Center, beat Pinto/Jeselle Ante of Minnesota, 6-4, on court two to clinch the doubles point  
• With Center, downed Ekaterina Ivanova/Ellison Reynoldson of Wisconsin, 6-3, in day’s first result to help UCLA earn the doubles point
