Teah Chavez, Ohio State  
So. – Regina, Saskatchewan – Martin Collegiate Institute – Major: Sport Industry 

• Posted ranked singles and doubles wins to help the Buckeyes to a 4-3 win at No. 14 Duke 

• Chavez and Luciana Perry downed the Blue Devils’ No. 11 ranked team on court one in doubles, 6-4 

• In singles, No. 55 Chavez rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over No. 29 Emma Jackson to tie the team score, 1-1 

• Chavez is 5-0 in dual match singles this spring

Freshman of the Week 
Erica Jessel, Northwestern 
Friendswood, Texas – Clear Springs – Major: Undeclared 

• Went 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles to help Northwestern to a doubleheader sweep of UIC and Milwaukee 

• Picked up all three victories at the No. 1 spot, including the first two wins from No. 1 singles of her collegiate career 

• Won 6-1 with partner Sydney Pratt in doubles against UIC and beat both singles opponents in straight sets
