Nebraska and Penn State Earn Big Ten Weekly Volleyball Awards

Player of the Week 
Kennedy Martin, Penn State 
Jr. – OPP – Fort Mill, S.C. – Major: Labor and Human Resources 

• Averaged 4.00 kills/set in wins over No. 12 Creighton and No. 14 Kansas at the AVCA First Serve  

• Shined in her Penn State debut, hitting .344 with 14 kills, nine digs, two blocks and one ace in a sweep over the Bluejays at Pinnacle Bank Arena  

• Tallied 18 kills, five digs, three blocks and one ace as Penn State rallied for a five-set win against Kansas at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Monday evening 

• Has reached double-digit kills in 55 consecutive matches, which is every match of her career

Defensive Player of the Week 
Rebekah Allick, Nebraska 
Sr. - MB – Lincoln, Neb. - Major: Management 

• Posted 1.71 blocks per set to go along with 2.86 kills per set and a .406 hitting percentage in the Huskers’ two wins at the AVCA First Serve  

• Opened the season with seven blocks and nine kills in a 3-1 win against No. 3 Pittsburgh 

• Recorded five more blocks with 11 kills on .600 hitting in a sweep of No. 6 Stanford on Sunday and was named MVP of the match 

• Last Nebraska Defensive Player of the Week: Lexi Rodriguez (Nov. 11, 2024) 

Setter of the Week  
Bergen Reilly, Nebraska 
Jr. – S – Sioux Falls, S.D. – Major: Business and Law 

• Dished out 10.86 assists per set, cueing a Nebraska offense that hit .224 vs. No. 3 Pittsburgh and .385 against No. 6 Stanford. The .385 team hitting percentage was the Huskers’ most efficient match against a ranked team since 2016 

• Opened the season with a double-double of 40 assists and 10 digs in a 3-1 win over Pitt. Also recorded three blocks, one kill and one ace  

• Tallied 36 assists, nine digs, four kills and three blocks in a sweep of Stanford
