Purdue, Nebraska and Penn State Claim Big Ten Weekly Volleyball Honors
Boilermakers’ Hudson, Anderson, Cornhuskers’ Rodriguez and Nittany Lions’ Podraza earn recognition following Week 13
ROSEMONT, Ill. (November 20, 2023) – The Big Ten Conference has announced this week’s Volleyball Weekly Awards for the week of November 14-19.
Player of the Week
Eva Hudson, Purdue
So. – Outside Hitter – Fort Wayne, Ind. – Bishop Dwenger – Major: Biomedical Health Sciences/Pre-Medicine
Tallied a career-high 30 kills with a .333 hitting percentage in the Boilermakers’ win over Wisconsin. Rounded out her career performance with a career-best two block solos and recorded a double-double (30 kills, 11 digs)
In set three vs. Wisconsin, Hudson hit .588 with 11 kills and one error on 17 attempts
Hudson’s 30 kills were the most by a Boilermaker since 2018
Led Purdue to a sweep vs. Maryland with a team-high 18 kills

Led the Huskers to a Big Ten title with 5.67 digs per set in a pair of 3-0 wins vs. Michigan and at Iowa
Had 19 digs at Iowa on Sunday and 15 digs and four assists in the 3-0 victory over Michigan, as Nebraska held the Wolverines to a .047 hitting percentage
For the week, the Huskers held their two opponents to a combined .086 hitting percentage

Tallied 44 assists as the Nittany Lions hit .362 against the Spartans and racked up 40 assists in three sets as the team hit .296 against the Wildcats

Tallied 32 assists in a sweep of Maryland to average 11.13 assists/set last week
