Nebraska and Penn State Meet in National Semifinal Thursday
Four No. 1 seeds advance to 2024 NCAA Volleyball National Semifinals

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Nebraska and Penn State each advanced to the 2024 NCAA Volleyball National Semifinals with Regional Final wins on Sunday. The Huskers and Nittany Lions will meet in Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center on Thursday, with the winner facing either Pittsburgh or Louisville in the National Championship on Sunday. It’s the first time since 2008 that all four No. 1 seeds have advanced to the National Semifinals.
The Huskers defeated Wisconsin in straight sets (26-24, 25-17, 25-21) to advance to the National Semifinal for the second straight year and seventh time in the past 10 seasons. Overall, Nebraska is competing in an NCAA Semifinal for the 18th time in program history and for the 12th time in John Cook’s 25 seasons.
Penn State topped Creighton in five sets (25-15, 16-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-7) to advance to the National Semifinal for the first time since 2017 and 14th time in program history. Sunday marked Penn State’s first NCAA Regional Final appearance and win under third-year head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley.
