Iowa and Maryland Awarded Field Hockey Honors

ROSEMONT, lll. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its weekly field hockey awards for games played October 10-12.

Offensive Player of the Week
Hannah Maney, Iowa
So. – F – Lewes, Del. – Cape Henlopen

• Compiled five points to help No. 10 Iowa record its first shutout win of the season, a 7-0 decision over St. Louis in Iowa City
• Her points total was the most among conference players over the weekend
• Coming off the bench, scored twice and added an assist in 22 minutes of action
• Earns her first career Big Ten weekly award
• Last Iowa selection for the Offensive Award: Dionne van Aalsum (Sept. 15, 2025)

Defensive Player of the Week
Josie Hollamon, Maryland
Jr. – B – Delmar, Del. – Delmar

• Tallied the game-winning goal for No. 12 Maryland in a 2-1 win over No. 10 Iowa Friday at Grant Field
• Scored off a penalty corner with under 13 minutes left in regulation
• Recorded a defensive save in the 49th minute and played the entire 60 minutes
• The NFHCA All-American collects her second Big Ten Defensive Award, having been previously recognized on Oct. 2, 2023
• Last Terrapin to receive a Defensive Player certificate: Alyssa Klebasko (Sept. 15, 2025)

Freshman of the Week
Jordyn Hollamon, Maryland

• Netted the game-tying goal in the 43rd minute as No. 12 Maryland rallied for a 2-1 win over No. 10 Iowa
• Produced a game-high 10 shots with eight being on goal
• Leads the team with six goals and ranks second in scoring with 14 points
• Captures Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors for the third time this season
