Northwestern Advances to NCAA Field Hockey Semifinals
Wildcats to represent the Big Ten in Durham, N.C. this weekend

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Northwestern has reached the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championships for the fifth consecutive season.
Ranked second nationally, Northwestern (20-1) will meet top-ranked North Carolina (21-1) on Friday (Nov. 21) at 2:30 p.m. ET at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium in Durham, N.C. Friday’s first semifinal features third-ranked Princeton (17-1) versus fourth-ranked Harvard (19-1) at 12 p.m. ET. Both games will be available on ESPNU.
Northwestern and North Carolina have combined to win the last seven NCAA Championships.
Northwestern earned a trip to Championship Weekend with a 3-2 win against 11th-ranked Miami (Ohio), capturing an NCAA Semifinalist trophy in the process Sunday in Charlottesville, Va. Grace Schulze scored the go-ahead goal with 1:40 left in regulation.
The defending national champions, Northwestern will look to make an appearance in Sunday’s final, slated for 1 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
