Big Ten Players to Represent Team USA at FIH Hockey World Cup

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Eight former and current Big Ten players will represent the United States National Team at the 2026 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup. The quadrennial world championship will take place August 14-30 at Wavre, Belgium and Amstelveen, Netherlands.

Players with Big Ten ties include:
#1 F/M Abby Tamer (Michigan, 2021-25)
#3 F Ashley Sessa (Northwestern, 2024-present)
#4 F Phia Gladieux (Penn State, 2020-24)
#8 M Maddie Zimmer (Northwestern, 2020-25)
#16 M Emma DeBerdine (Maryland, 2019-24), co-captain
#21 M Lauren Wadas (Northwestern, 2020-24)
#32 G Jenny Rizzo (Penn State, 2015-18)
#33 G Annabel Skubisz (Northwestern, 2020-24), alternate

Ranked 11th in the world, the United States will open against No. 2- ranked Argentina on Saturday, August 15, at 11:30 a.m. ET.

CBS Sports Network will broadcast Team USA pool play games and crossovers. Matches will air live, taped or same day taped, depending on the CBS Sports Network schedule.
